After growing up in Houghton Regis Antonia was delighted to be elected as Councillor to represent Parkside ward in 2015, thus ensuring that she working in the best interest to create change for the betterment and to  make a difference to people’s daily lives and prospects.  Antonia works in the international labour movement and spends most of her time both in and outside of work campaigning for workers/human rights.

Antonia takes a particular interest in disadvantaged children and has tackled the Central Bedfordshire Council on the gaps in KS2 results and the grammar school proposals, to name a few. She also sits on the Children Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE).

As Houghton Regis will be developed over the coming years, she also wants to be voice of people’s concerns and ensuring this development benefits the local community not just the surrounding areas.

Antonia believes in fighting for a fairer society for all with good quality housing, job opportunities, and health equality.
